Oh, Lord, the things that I have known, that I learned at my mother's knee and from my father as he led his family. These are the understandings that guide and shape my life today, they are the parables that reveal You to me, the foundations of Your Word that provide stability and structure in my life today.

Thank you, Lord for parents who recounted Your mighty works in their lives so that their children would know You. Lord, forgive me for I have not done that at all. Do not let my children suffer as a result of my sin.
