A Worthy Walk

Revival takes place right where we are.

Revival! (6)

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4.1-3

Ministers of Scotland: Lectures on Revival X
The Rev. Charles J. Brown, Minister of New North Kirk Parish, Edinburgh
“There is only another, a sixth fruit of revival, which I notice: namely, a tender concern to adorn the gospel by an upright and conscientious discharge of ordinary duties…The work of the Holy Ghost is signally tested, evidenced, adorned, by a quiet and steady attention to the things which are ‘true and honest and just and lovely and of good report.’”

Revival comes out in everyday life as the reality of the indwelling Christ and the soul-filling Spirit shine forth in all our everyday words and deeds. Every believer has a Personal Mission Field to which the Lord sends us each day for the purpose of advancing His Kingdom. We do this by living and telling our witness for Christ, faithfully discharging our “ordinary duties” as unto the Lord, and not men. This is the kind of glory-filled living that communicates an eternal hope and provokes the lost to ask a reason for our evident joy and peace. When we walk with Jesus and Jesus walks in us, His amazing life comes through so that others see Him in us and want, like Moses before the bush, to draw aside and gain a better understanding of why we are the way we are.

In what ways do you point people to glorifying God in the everyday details of their lives (1 Cor. 10.31)?

Pray for Revival
Join us online once a month to pray for revival. We meet for 30 minutes, once a month, pray a psalm and seek the Lord together for revival. We’re looking for men who will commit to seeking the Lord for revival together. If you’re interested, write to me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., and I’ll give you a list of available times. Or we can discuss beginning a new group to pray for revival at a more suitable time.

Mission Partners Outreach
Our Mission Partners Outreach can help your people identify and begin working their Personal Mission Field. We’ve adapted the program so that it can be used in a Sunday school or Bible study format. If you’d like to learn more, watch this brief video (click here). I will be happy to talk with you about how you can learn this free ministry program and begin to use it in your church to promote revived Christian living.
