Grace to Help

Boasting in weaknesses

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NKJV
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Strong and sustaining Father,
The failures and flaws of my humanity weigh heavy on my soul, but you say that it is in and through those things that your power and grace are most evident. So, I lay hold of your promise of strength to undergird and overcome my weakness.
When I am insulted or maligned because of my faith, I will rest in your comforting and sustaining presence.
When hard times and troubles come, I will rest in your faithfulness, knowing that you are working in all things for good (Romans 8:28).
When I have needs that I cannot meet, I will rest in confidence that you provide all that I need (Philippians 4:19).
I confess and I believe that when I am weak, it is then I am strong, through the grace and to the praise of my Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.
