Come and Sing Praises

The Glory Due His Name

Psalm 92:1-4, 12-15 NRSV
It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night, to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre.
For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy.
The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in the house of the LORD; they flourish in the courts of our God. In old age they still produce fruit; they are always green and full of sap, showing that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Loving Lord my God, you are the creator of all beauty and goodness, and the giver of life in all its fullness.
“You are upright; you are our rock, and there is no unrighteousness in you.”
To awaken in the morning is to experience afresh your love and faithfulness.
To contemplate the grandeur of your creation is to be filled with great joy and true pleasure.
To daily seek you and follow you fills life with purpose and causes us to grow in love for you with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
To know that you are the holder and planner of the future fills our minds with peace.
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14 NRSV)
