You can see it below. Of course it’s a parody, but like most parodies there is a disturbing amount of truth in it these days don’t you think?
I can’t say I know the “right way” to plant a church. My church planting has been as much “adventure” as planned venture. In many ways I have been forced by Providence to engage in church planting activities. As a result, I’m no expert.
Theologically, I’m not cut out to be very cool. I believe in outmoded things like “Liturgy” and “Catechisms” and “stuff like that”. I joined Ailbe to work with men who may also be a bit strange in the eyes of contemporary church culture. They too wanted to serve the Lord in dialog with a Christian past that devoted itself to the Word instead of the World.
If you sense some discomfort in the video I’ve shown you, I can’t promise you easy solutions at Ailbe, but I can promise a caring fellowship striving to operate in light of what we know to be true and glorifying to God. Sometimes that’s not always the easy path. But you’re welcome to explore walking it with us!
