Romans 5:1-2

John Nunnikhoven

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him, we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Peace with God–what an overwhelming concept. I was born into sin, I was at enmity with God from birth. I fought Him. I mocked Him. I despised Him. I was unceasing in my efforts to discredit Him.

Hallelujah, through the intercession of my Lord Jesus Christ, I have been brought into reconciliation with the LORD, God the Almighty. Through Him, I can rejoice in the certainty that I have entered into the glory of God; that I am one of those upon whom God lavishes His love (1 John3:1, NIV)
