The LORD is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.
Your mercy, the withholding of the punishment I deserve, is the most important display of Your goodness. Without your mercy, all other displays of your character would be terrifying and/or meaningless. But because of that mercy, I can accept that I am Your child, redeemed and restored to Your presence.
