Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word.
Should there have ever been any doubt in my mind about the relationship between belief and obedience, these two verses should certainly dispel it. I believe in Your Commandments [and] now I keep Your word. No wishy-washy in those phrases, no room for picking and choosing. I believe–I keep!
