The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!
Isaiah 6:5 And I said: "Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!"
LORD, God the Almighty, give me that fear that drove Isaiah to his knees, fill me with the heart-rending cry, "Woe is me! For my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts." That is the fear that is the beginning of wisdom, not a belief that I serve a nimby-pamby god of smarmy love, but the conviction that I serve the God who maintainsallby the power of His voice.
This is the beginning of wisdom.
