Psalm 97:7-10a
All worshipers of images are put to shame, who make their boast in worthless idols; worship him, all you gods! Zion hears and is glad, and the daughters of Judah rejoice, because of your judgments, O LORD. For you, O LORD, are most high over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods. O you who love the LORD, hate evil!
And now all the worthless idols will turn to You in worship, declaring Your Goodness. Your people will rejoice in Your great victory over evil, the final erasure of the scarring of Your glorious creation caused by man’s self-will. Finally we will understand the depths of Your disgust and hatred of the harm we caused.
