But as for me, my prayer is to you, O LORD. At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of your steadfast love answer me in your saving faithfulness.
What a potent and meaning packed prayer.
"At an acceptable time"–Your time, not mine. A time that totally meets Your plan for my life, that plan to do me good and not to do me harm. Oh, LORD, that I would learn to wait on You.
"In the abundance of Your steadfast love"–That limitless, infinite supply of steadfast love; that love which never fails nor slacks in any way.
"Answer me in Your saving faithfulness"–I must trust that Your answer is complete, is just, and is evidence of Your grace and mercy and is that absolutely proper timing. Oh, LORD, I have much to learn.
