However, the Church is being held captive in many instances and sliding into apostasy. My conviction is that one of the causes is a lack of understanding about how the LORD, God, the Almighty desires to be worshiped in spirit and in truth. This leads to a dangerous willingness to worship God as WE want to worship.
Psalm 150 is a compact description of how the LORD, God, the Almighty wishes to be worshiped.
Read this powerful Psalm of praise and worship. Read it again and again. Read it next Lord's Day morning in your church's sanctuary before the “worship” service begins if you can concentrate over the chatter.
Read and meditate on this Psalm afterwards. Ask yourself which portions of the morning were more focused on worship of the LORD, God, the Almighty? Were there portions which even though powerful and instructive, were better suited to a Sunday evening teaching series?
Reserve some times during the week for His worship and glory. We need to reset our minds, worship of the LORD, God, the Almighty is not something reserved for Sunday morning, but is the focal point of our lives.
