Psalm 15:1-5, ESV
A Psalm of David. O LORD, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill? He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart; who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend; in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the LORD; who swears to his own hurt and does not change; who does not put out his money at interest and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.
Psalm 15:1-5, JN paraphrase
“O LORD, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill?”
- A blameless walker.
- A rightful doer.
- A truth speaker and liver.
- Defends a friend against reproach.
- Does not honor the vile doer.
- Gives honor to those who fear the LORD.
- Who not defend his actions when it might be to his benefit to do otherwise.
- Who does not loan for the sake of interest received.
- Who refuses bribes to the determent of the innocent.
Hmmm, sounds to me like a description of someone whose life has been transformed by the sacrifice of the LORD Jesus the Christ and is living a life of obedience to the 10 Commandments as a result.
