Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make melody to our God on the lyre! He covers the heavens with clouds; he prepares rain for the earth; he makes grass grow on the hills. He gives to the beasts their food, and to the young ravens that cry.
Lord, why do I complain about Your bounty? Too hot! Too cold! Too wet! Too dry! Too, too, too!! Am I never satisfied? Can I never be obedient and give thanks in all circumstances? Why cannot I look at the circumstances that irritate me and search out the blessing that is connected and revealed? All things in their season are evidence of Your blessing to and love for Your creation.
