Psalm 142:5-7

John Nunnikhoven

I cry to you, O LORD; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.” Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low! Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me! Bring me out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name! The righteous will surround me, for you will deal bountifully with me.

Here is the promise, “You will deal bountifully with me.” I must focus on that promise and not let all the attacks of my persecutors distract me from the path You have set before me. You know that Satan is attacking on several fronts, determined to sway me from the tasks You have set before me. But You are my refuge, my portion is the Kingdom of God., You do and will continue to deliver me from those who despise me and would seek to dishonor Your name through me. Praise You, my Lord and my Master.
