Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day. Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts. I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep your word. I do not turn aside from your rules, for you have taught me.
We wish! We hunger for these statements to be true. Lord, when will we become so one with You that Your Word is our meditation all day long? We know that Your Instructions are always with us, but we don't always listen.
We do have more understanding than all the influences of the world — when we meditate upon and consider Your testimonies. We do see the pitfalls of the age-old wisdom of the culture when measured against Your Wisdom — if we do so!
Your Rules are our guide; they place our feet securely upon Your Path; they keep us from stumbling into evil and re-offending. You are ever at our side.
