Psalm 119:161-168, NKJV
Sin and Shin – Princes persecute me without cause, but my heart stands in awe of your words. I rejoice at your word like one who finds great spoil. I hate and abhor falsehood, but I love your law. Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous rules.
Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble. I hope for your salvation, O LORD, and I do your commandments. My soul keeps your testimonies; I love them exceedingly. I keep your precepts and testimonies, for all my ways are before you.
Psalm 119:161-168, JN paraphrase
The world ridicules me for my faith, but my heart stands between them and me. What greater reward! The comparison between the Word of the LORD and the lies of Satan and his minions is beyond description. I am daily brought to my knees in the awesome wonder of the exquisite beauty of Your Law. Great peace is the result of the love for Your Law. Nothing but total contentment.
I am reminded of the time that we shared a ski cabin with a group of friends and a common evening entertainment was assembling jigsaw puzzles. One of the members of our group had the eerie talent of picking up a piece, reaching across an d “ snapping” it into place with a audible click.
Doesn’t the Law of God provide an equivalent “click” as a problem is resolved?
