Psalm 119:148, 149

John Nunnikhoven

Psalm 119:148,

My eyes are awake before the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promise.

Lord, that this were true. I fail when awake during the night and am anxious to get back to sleep.

Help me, Lord, to remember to ask You who and what I am to be praying for, to seek Your guidance in using that time for Your Kingdom.

Psalm 119:149

Hear my voice according to your steadfast love; O LORD, according to your justice give me life.

If You love never fails, and it does not; if Your justice is perfect, and it is, then I have no reason not to accept the life You give me, and I do not–except for my own self-will.
