To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise; For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue. They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause. For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer. And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
One of these days, I’m going to flip through the Psalms just to see how many times David calls for curses to be poured out upon an enemy’s head. He is efficient and through, no tiptoeing through the tulips rather a through threshing with verbal cacti. So much more effective when the LORD, God, the Almighty takes up the defense of His own.
But the question that should be addressed is whether or not is this is the proper approach for me as one called to be an Ambassador of Reconciliation in the Kingdom of Heaven? (2 Cor. 5:18-19) How about some feedback?
