Psalm 105:1-6

John Nunnikhoven

O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. Remember his marvelous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

This is a very concise listing of how the LORD is to be praised and acknowledged. Ten specific verbs referring to actions that must be taken by His own people routinely.

But, but, but, whoa, this is directed to the seed of Abraham, I’m not, I’m a gentile, is this a woe is me, all is lost. No, hallelujah, Paul offers the very comforting words in Romans 1:16-17: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”

See that beautiful, short, immensely powerful phrase, “also to the Greek”. Hallelujah, the grace of the LORD, God, the Almighty has been extended to the Gentiles.
