Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand;do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Interesting that Strong's Greek Dictionary indicates that the word translated here as anxious as taking thought. To put it in the vernacular, don't give it a thought. No fretting! No singing the blues! No laying awake at night and scheming to develop possible solutions! The Lord has got my back.
Today's readings in the Psalms:
Morning: Psalm 58
Mid-day: 119:1-8
Evening: Psalm 134
