O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud. LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves. They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage. They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless. Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.
My apologies to anyone who missed Voices Together yesterday. The day got away from me.
Vengence belongth to the LORD, God, the Almighty. Do you hear that, John!
Oh how I love to dream of being the knight in shining armor who rides to the defense of the widowed and the fatherless. But my LORD says, “Let me handle this, John, I’ll let you know when I need your help.” I need to remember that it is only at His direction can true justice be effectively applied. My meddling is just that and can only worsen the situation.
But as He leads…Oh, what joy in hearing “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
