"The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
I have a greater understanding of this passage after recently benefited from surgery to remove cataracts. Colors are far more vivid, my vision is sharper, I can see what I did not know I was not seeing.
Lord, that my spiritual eyes will continue to sharpen, that I will see what I did not see. As those Greeks cried out to Phillip, "I want to see Jesus." (John 12:21)
