But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, 'You fool!' will be liable to the hell of fire.
Just to be angry with another person or even to point out that he is a fool? Come on! How can our Lord equate that with murder?
I believe that the answer is simple. When I do so, I scorn the Imago Dei of my fellow man, I refuse to recognize that he is made in the image of God. A blatant violation of the command to love my neighbor.
