"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
Jesus' audience recognized the reference to the Law and Prophets as including the entire Old Testament canon and that He was implying that this Word revealed the will of God. He telling them, and me, that He came to fulfill the will of God. Therefore I must be very assiduous in my studies of the Word of God to include the Old Testament and become very familiar with how the Will of God, as revealed therein, applies to and guides me today.
