Joshua 1:7-9

John Nunnikhoven

Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

Lesson 4: Review Lesson 3. The process of equipping myself, enabling myself to live in today is to be diligent to hide the Word of God in my heart (Ps 119:11).

Lesson 5: I am to meditate on the Word constantly. Meditate is the same Hebrew word that is translated in Is. 34:11 as a lion growling over its prey. I am to chew on the Word, assimilate it into every aspect of my life.

Lesson 6: TRUST GOD IN ALL THINGS. I am to be bold in applying the Word in my life; I am to declare His goodness at every opportunity; no anxiety; no call for dismay for all obstacles are surmountable. I need to create my own version of the Breastplate of St. Patrick.
