Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba and called there on the name of the LORD, the Everlasting God.
LORD, when did Abram realize that You are the Everlasting God, the Eternal God? Was it when he planted the tamarisk tree in Beersheba and called on your Name? Or was it when You appeared to him in Shechem at the oak of Moreh?
Youappeared to Abram. You revealed Yourself to him. It is very significant to me that the Hebrew word translated as 'appeared' carries a sense of looking on one another.
Oh, LORD, for that day when I can look upon Your Face and fully comprehend that You are the Everlasting God.
