And he believed the LORD, and he counted it to him as righteousness.
And now to the crux of the matter. Just as Abraham believed (had faith, trusted, committed, obeyed) and it was counted to him as righteousness, so must I. He didn't walk perfectly, a couple of instances where he did not trust Yahweh for his safety and lied about his relationship with Sarah come to mind, yet he is counted among the LORD, God the Almighty's faithful.
Lord, lead me into a life of faithfulness to You and Your Word. Forgive me for those instances where I allow doubt and anxiety to consume my peace.
