Short, pithy, inarguable. Preeminence is one of those words whose usage allows nothing weaker.
Does anyone remember playing King of the Hill? A familar tactic was for several players to rush the current "King" Then the goal of the meelee shifted to establish the new King. That does not work here. The Lord Jesus, the Christ is established permanently as King of the Hill.
