He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
It is going to be an interesting four days looking at the relationships between the LORD Jesus, the Christ and all other things. Paul, with his usual understanding of the immense span of all things, begins at the beginning, the creation. It takes 36 words to firmly establish Jesus as the Creator of the Universe. Look at that last sentence, tersely efficient with nothing left out.
