Acts 3:22-23

John Nunnikhoven

For Moses truly said to the fathers, 'THE LORD YOUR GOD WILL RAISE UP FOR YOU A PROPHET LIKE ME FROM YOUR BRETHREN. HIM YOU SHALL HEAR IN ALL THINGS, WHATEVER HE SAYS TO YOU.AND IT SHALL BE THAT EVERY SOUL WHO WILL NOT HEAR THAT PROPHET SHALL BE UTTERLY DESTROYED FROM AMONG THE PEOPLE.'

Now that the path to restoration has been clearly identified, the consequenses are laid out in equal clarity. That prophet, Jesus of Nazareth, if not listened to, will the marker of utter destruction of the unbeliever. He said, and this verse supports that claim, “that He is way, the truth and the light, no man comes to the Father except through Him.” Mankind has no other option. He is not the master of his fate, the captain of his soul.
