2 Peter 1:5-8

John Nunnikhoven

For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“Make every effort to… they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Make every effort–“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness”

Make every effort–“Rejoice always, again I will say rejoice…”

Make every effort–“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances…”

Make every effort, my life is to be consumed with seeking You , being faithful to You, trusting You, laboring in Your vineyard, serving Your sheep, loving my neighbors, honoring You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.
