But who is able to build him a house, since heaven, even highest heaven, cannot contain him? Who am I to build a house for him, except as a place to make offerings before him?
Solomon raises an interesting point here. No thing can contain God but God is present in all things. Therefore, some aspect(s) of God are revealed in everything whether physical or supernatural. It is an act of worship to delve and tease out those aspects.
A simple but telling example is the fresh snow outside my window as I write. Pure white, infinite variety, complex patterns and reflecting the rationality of the LORD, God the Almighty.
