Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.
"Believed on in the world" The world denies this statement but lies every time they do. Listen to the conversation around the watercooler and count the number of times that a name of the LORD, God, the Almighty is invoked in conversation. Sometimes as a casual throwaway comment; sometimes as the basis of a curse. I have yet to hear the name of a Norse god used in the same manner, even by a confessed Wiccan.
