1 John 3:18-20

John Nunnikhoven

My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

Now, as the Holy Spirit begins to wrap all instructions, covered in the Scriptural rubric of “all things”, we find that it is far simpler than we may have imagined during this page upon page of writing. It is listening to a heart that has been transformed by the Word of God, and proceeding as directed by it. Should we continue in disobedience, the LORD, God, the Almighty will have a word with us.
