My eyes long for your promise; I ask, “When will you comfort me?” For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke, yet I have not forgotten your statutes.
Sometimes I am toasty brittle, fried by the tests and challenges of the ministry, yet, Lord, as I continue in Your Word to seek Your face and to know You, I am comforted and refreshed. I know that Your comfort is from everlasting to everlasting and has no end. I need to reach out and grasp it.
