Isaiah pointed these out to me today.
These new shoots in an old stump are not quite what I’ve been musing on from Isaiah. But they’re close. For the phrase, “See, I am doing a new thing!” has been bouncing around in my brain. So, I’m not surprised that I have noticed this new growth on our hike today.
Today’s post, though, is another page from my journal. It allows me to share how God is directing my thinking.
I am trying to perceive how God will use this time of disconnectedness to open doors for my wife and me to connect to people. May he give us fresh eyes to see his work!
Father, you are faithful to save your people. But you are never bound by the ways that you’ve worked before. Help us to perceive how you are doing a new thing in the church in this time of difficulty.
