Hurricane Irene did enormous damage to Vermont; 5 years later and the evidence is still stark and obvious. It serves as a constant reminder of the danger of unwillingness to trust in the LORD, God the Almighty. Homes built in floodplains disappeared in a matter of minutes–all evidence that there had ever been a building there gone.
Are my stubbornness, my pride, my self-will the personal traits that will insure that I hear those awful words, "I never knew you." No, Lord, no! Continue to train me to trust in You in all things.
