Take care, lest you forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make a carved image, the form of anything that the LORD your God has forbidden you. For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
Do I realize the danger that I place myself in if I worship a created object rather than the Creator? The Consuming Fire that is the LORD, God, the Almighty is a fire that makes all the thermonuclear furnaces of the universe as a birthday candle. I need to be careful, very, very careful about where I place my adoration.
