His divine power has grantedto us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledgeof him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has grantedto us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakersof the divine nature, having escapedfrom the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
A big part of the belief/trust/commit/obey quartet is the recognition of our complete equipping for life in the Kingdom today. His precious and very great promises have given us the knowledge of every thing we need to fully participate with Him in the divine nature and revel that we have escaped from the corruption that once held us in thrall.
But don't ever forget that these promises are to those who trust. Trust is not a sometime thing, it is an always thing–a way of life, not a selective om/off switch.
