Both we and our fathers have sinned; we have committed iniquity; we have done wickedness. Our fathers, when they were in Egypt, did not consider your wondrous works; they did not remember the abundance of your steadfast love, but rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea.
Lord, we turn away from You, we do not set first priority upon seeking Your Kingdom and Your righteousness. Sometimes we feel that we have given You sufficient attention with a couple of hours on Sunday morning, not recognizing that You tell us to observe the Lord’s Day and set it aside for You. Our priorities during the week are defined by job, family and recreation. Where are You in our hectic lives?
