Psalm 119:21
You rebuke the insolent, accursed ones, who wander from your commandments.
This seems to apply to my brother, Lord, who does not quite get it. I keep hearing those words, “I will never drink again!,” “I will never do drugs again!,” “I will never smoke again!,” “I will never ….!” Where is the “Through the strength of the Lord, “I will never …” Where is the calling upon You? Where is that broken and contrite heart that You treasure? Where is that joy of the Presence?
Bring him home to You, Lord, bring him home. Lord, as I publish this 5 years and 13 days after it was written, my brother is back in prison and I have lost count of the number of times through the revolving door. Out and in and out and in and … Lord, bring him to his knees before You.
