Psalm 18:37-42
I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and did not turn back till they were consumed. I thrust them through, so that they were not able to rise; they fell under my feet. For you equipped me with strength for the battle; you made those who rise against me sink under me. You made my enemies turn their backs to me, and those who hated me I destroyed. They cried for help, but there was none to save; they cried to the LORD, but he did not answer them. I beat them fine as dust before the wind; I cast them out like the mire of the streets.
Lord, it is those minions of the Evil One that he sends against me. Pride, lust, envy, covetousness, greed; the list goes on. But You equip me for battle, fully armed with Your Word and with Your praise to smite them, subdue them and destroy their power over my life. Thank You for sending the Holy spirit to lead me into all Truth and remind me of all You have said as I face the attacks of those who seek to bring me down. I have no fear for you are with me, Your rod and staff comfort me and I shall dwell in Your house forever.
