Psalm 78:9-11
The Ephraimites, armed with the bow, turned back on the day of battle. They did not keep God’s covenant, but refused to walk according to his law. They forgot his works and the wonders that he had shown them.
The Church, Lord, as did Israel, has gone whoring after other gods. We have accepted the world’s definitions of tolerance, choice, marriage, infidelity, sin, love, justice, righteousness, judgment, … the list is endless. We accept pride, greed, lust and immorality as normative for life. We have forgotten the One who loves us and died for us, we have abandoned our salvation.
