Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly! Let Israel be glad in his Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King!
So I took a short break. Back to the task of examining the LORD, God’s, the Almighty’s Hymn book for clues to His desired for of /worship. Too soon to cave in and quit with two short psalms left writhing on the examining table.
This is the first time I’ve noticed a reference to new song. Very interesting for we often desire to sing the old and tried. Yet the new hymns often have a new and fresh taste that stirs our hearts into new paths of worship. I will try and keep that in mind, especially in looking at the last two in the Psalmody.

Morning Psalm 91, Noon Psalm 119:49-56 Evening Psalm 23, If you follow this regimen, you will pray through the Psalms every 47 days or just under 8 times per year.
An alternate Reading Plan is based on 7 chapters/day from 7 sections of the Scriptures. My groupings are: Genesis-Joshua, Judges to Esther, Job to Song of Solomon, Psalms breaking 119 into convenient sets, Isaiah to Malachi, Matthew to Acts, Romans to Revelation.
Or set your own reading schedule up in convenient groupings as fits your study habits. But a daily time in the Word of the LORD is an absolute.
