A Song or Psalm of David. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
I love it when a Psalm starts with these paeans of praise. Could the LORD be telling me that I should start my day likewise? Something like this: Start with a chorus of “Praise the Savior, Ye who know Him, Who can tell how much w owe Him” and segue into praises for the night’s rest. Conclude with a listing of the challenges for the day and invoking His guidance?
