Psalm 46:10-11
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
Be still, be still and know, be still and know that I am God. Be still! O how hard that is, Lord, to be still before You. I want to chatter, to blither, to make all my petty problems known to You (as if You were not already aware), and tell You how to fix them. But the directive is to be still and You will be with me. Teach me stillness! Give me a still heart! Quell my racing mind and let it focus on You. Then I will be aware of Your never failing presence in me. The Lord of hosts is with me!
