Philippians 3:20-21

John Nunnikhoven

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

A most important concept as we drag to the conclusion of what may easily be the most rancorous presidential campaign in the history of this country. I have heard very little reference to this passage as a guiding principle for the people of God. Someday I will stand at the foot of the Judgment Seat and answer for those occasions when I refused to cede the power to my Lord and Savior. He is the one with the power to subdue all things unto Himself; not Margaret Nunnikhoven's boy. And Mom is going to be standing there shaking her head in tears.

I know my Lord has paid the penalty for all my sins, but it will be at this moment that I will fully realize the extent of my willing participation those sins.

Reading.
